Launch of Empower Co.

Rachel Vestergaard officially launched Empower Co. with 60 guests representing large financial institutions, companies, the UN, media, NGOs, book publishers, entrepreneurs and even some block chain experts. Empower CO. which is the world’s first transparent and robust voluntary market for W+ Units. Empower Co. will sell W+ units from projects that give 50% of the proceeds from the sale of the units to women in the project. The idea of launching a new market around scaling women’s empowerment was inspiring to all those who were present. Women were offering to lend their connections, skillsets, and more to the effort. Rachel has about 35,000 units to sell between Nepal and Morocco and she plans to sell them as soon as possible to encourage project developers in the pipeline to keep moving towards W+ certification so we can begin to see what we all want— A massive scaling of women’s empowerment.  Photo Credit: Karen Obrist, @Karen-obrist Empower Co.
